Reflection 2/27/12

Today, I completed my plan stage! :) I put the Gantt chart on my google doc and wrote the paragraph evaluating my plan stage, which I think came out pretty well. All I have to do now is the create phase and the evaluation phase and I am finished with my project! YAY! It took me quite some time to finish everything, but I was able to thoroughly complete the stages. I will do a last-checkup on my google doc to make sure everything is in the best shape possible when I complete the create and evaluate stage.

Reflection :)

Today I finished the comparisons for the tools I was planning to use. After I tried both of the programs, Animoto and Vuvox, I scored both and Animoto came out with the highest score. Also, I created the survey that I will use to evaluate my product, this is the link my survey.

Investigation (2/3/12)

Today I started the rating of the two video tools on which I was deciding for my project. I think that with the table that Ms. Hinojosa created and I modified, I will successfully choose the tool that will make my project a success. I explained in detail how I can use them, and which are the pros and cons. By doing this, the video tool that I choose will be the right choice.

Investigate 2/1/12

Today, I tested both Animoto and Vuvox. After trying to make a simple video in both of them, I was able to evaluate how simple they were to use, which one had better options for the music and editing, and if I would be able to post it to my blog. Both are great video editing tools and each have great advantages, but after analyzing I believe I will use Animoto. I am still not 100% sure, but it ended up being not only the simplest but also the most effective.  I will continue to test both resources, just to make sure I made the right decision.

Reflection :)

Today I worked on the introduction of my journal. I explained what exactly it is that I'm doing to teach the IB learner profile to people that are unfamiliar with it. I hope that my project will impact the community in a bigger scale. I also wrote how I think me learning personally will impact other people, since by me learning it well will imapct how well they learn it. The fact that I will try to reach other people by video should imply that I want them to learn these qualities by vision and audio.

Investigation

Today I am going to research the tools I am going to use for my project. I will compare some of the video editing tools that Ms. Hinojosa gave us, Animoto and Vuvox. Both resources are very effective, it just comes down to which one I like better. After trying both of the websites, Vuvox is the one I think I am going to use, but I still need to research more. I will still try to use Animoto and see if it fits my ideas, I will do the same thing for Vuvox and see which one fits better.
